Stuy Says Enough

Pro Bono Freelance Graphic Design for Student Advocacy

Stuy Says Enough was a student-led advocacy initiative at Stuyvesant High School. I was approached to take on the project pro bono as an independent graphic designer, developing the visual materials for a March 14 walkout against gun violence across print and social media.

Rather than designing only for a single event, I created a flexible campaign system that could continue to serve the group beyond one issue or action. The initial rollout included event posters, a Facebook group banner, social graphics, a newsletter layout, and petition templates. Dates and event information were designed to be easily updated by organizers using the design resources already available to them.

The identity centered on the phrase “Stuy Says Enough,” allowing the framework to extend beyond gun-violence advocacy. The newsletter and petition templates were intentionally designed as reusable tools so future organizers could adapt the same visual language to new issues, actions, and calls for change.
