CHICKEN 5H!T

A video project that illustrates a passion of its creator—in this case, chicken. This film was made as an exploration of how much chicken I’ve eaten over the past couple years. I realized I gravitate toward certain chains, based on convenience, novelty, and habit. I usually pick Chinese restaurant or home chicken over more name brands like KFC or Popeyes, so I decided not to stick to a straightfoward formula of only pulling apart chicken on camera.

I wanted different shots to break up the monotpony and add visual interest, so I decided to sample (since this project was made before the existence of GenAI).

I enjoy animated films, and I wanted to explore chicken in various contexts. How is it portrayed? How is it handled? How do I feel in response to these depictions? I found myself identifying with Mr. Fox and being symathetic, but still wanting to eat the characters from Chicken Run.
